V. I. Vernadsky and the Problem of Consciousness


The article analyzes how V. I. Vernadsky approached the phenomenon of consciousness at the intersection of various lines of his activities: as a scientist, a philosopher, a founder of research schools, a public figure, a historian of science, and an essayist. Although the question is very complicated, the author proposes a preliminary discussion of the problem, hoping that it will help further investigations based on more complete archival evidence.
