Social History of Science
The «Russian Season» in Cambridge, 1916

World War I brought about a fundamental transformation in international relations and cooperation in scientific research. As a part of these rearrangements in science diplomacy, the University of Cambridge organized a Summer Meeting in 1916 devoted to the study of Russia. Four of the Russian scholars who took part in the meeting were awarded honorary degrees.
